Zamia Composite Research and Development Technologies Inc. was founded in 2024 after securing investment support from TÜBİTAK under the 1812 - Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment). The company launched its operations at Bursa Uludağ University Ulutek Technology Development Zone.
Dedicated to sustainability, we develop eco-friendly, innovative, and high-performance material solutions by upcycling agricultural waste into recyclable and biodegradable composite materials.
Our business idea, recognized with the Seal of Excellence by TÜBİTAK, has demonstrated its investment potential for SMEs and its capability to offer sustainable and innovative alternatives to the industry.
During the second application period of 2024, Zamia Composite stood out among 1,768 startups, becoming one of the 134 recipients of the Seal of Excellence. Additionally, it was selected as one of only three business ideas eligible for GCIP additional investment, underscoring its strong foundation and promising growth potential.
Built on this solid foundation, Zamia Composite Research and Development Technologies Inc. was officially established, with 5% of its shares owned by the TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund and 95% by Assoc. Prof. İdris Karagöz. Committed to sustainability, we transform waste into high-value-added materials, supporting sustainable production and pioneering a greener industrial future.
